Official Paddle of Hurricane Tyra Black
Super happy with the control, grip and power of this paddle! The quality of the product is also exceptional!
I've fallen in love with this paddle. The low swing weight gives me the ability to maneuver quickly at the kitchen line. The generous sweet spot means I don't miss hit often. The gritty carbon fiber face gives me great spin on my serves, backhand slices, forehand topspin drives and roll volleys. The handle is long enough to get two hands on and the stock grip is very comfortable. It's a good looking paddle as well. It doesn't have a ton of power but that's not a problem for me because I generate my own power just fine. I did get the 14mm so that it's a bit poppier. I've been using this paddle for about 6 months. It doesn't need to be replaced just yet but I just bought a second of of these paddles using a discount code from a youtuber. Can't recommend this paddle enough.
I just started playing last march but I had experience playing racquet sports through tennis. I struggled with the dink initially but this paddle help improve that side of the game for me. It has less power than the Joola V3 but the control is something that I will not give away.
Paddle is fine, seems to lack baseline power.
Pros: felt playful, speedups were fun, dinking/dropping very easy. Because of the lack of power, drives dipped nicely.
Cons: counters felt weak, return of serves hard to get deep, serves were weak
Tried Tyra’s lead tape setup which helped but was hoping to replace my volair mach2 with something more poppy/powerful this just didn’t fit the bill.
it's an incredible paddle. It has power, incredible control and feel. It has upped my game. Would absolutely recommend this paddle.
